Design an elementary school in downtown Indianapolis surrounded by cultural, historical, and religious buildings and districts. The quality of space must be of great value as elementary schools are the first and most crucial step in everyone's path of growing up. Using diagonal cuts, the design created opportunities for students to interact and have open-space balconies. Group activities are essential for optimal learning, and the design incorporates this by using a module to increase visibility and connection. The design emphasizes maximum visibility, with a glass courtyard as an open space playground visible from hallways. A grand staircase goes around the courtyard, increasing the possibility of interaction between students.
